Air Tindi's Safety Policy Statement

Air Tindi, in partnership with its employees, will conduct it business in a manner that ensures the health and safety of its employees, customers and members of the public who may be affected by the activities, and to minimize the impact of our operations on the ecosystem in which we live and work while meeting its obligation under all applicable regulations.

Air Tindi will accomplish this through a Safety Management System which ensures;

• Establish, maintain and implement a Safety Management System involving personnel at all levels of the organization, to be reviewed periodically for any required updates and/or changes as needs dictate.
• All staff, including senior management, is accountable and responsible for a clear commitment to safety and demonstrates this through active and visible participation in developing a safety culture.
• Ensure skilled staff is sufficiently trained and competent in aviation safety matters, and regularly conduct safety and management reviews leading to improved processes and safety performance.
• Foster a learning environment by which we learn from incidents and accidents, our experiences, and the experience of others, thereby reducing and mitigating risks of an aircraft accident or incident to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable/achievable.
• The policy is communicated to all company personnel by being documented and posted on Company Safety Boards, included in Company Indoctrination & Orientation training, as well as in the Company Employee Handbook, and posted on the COMPANY SMS website, in the SMS SOP, and on the Air Tindi website which is made accessible to all employees and managers.
• Senior managers communicate the importance of safety during regular departmental staff meetings and address concerns and questions, receiving verbal verification that department personnel have understood the message being passed. Meeting minutes will also be recorded to follow-up on such concerns.
• Committed to developing, implementing and improving systems and processes to ensure that all aviation activities uphold the highest level of safety performance and meet national and international standards.
• Establish and measure our aviation safety performance against objectives and/or targets.

The objective of our Board, and that of all management within Air Tindi LTD, is to ensure the well being of each employee and customer while they receive a high level of service from our staff. Safety is the core Air Tindi value while providing an exceptionally high quality air service to our valuable customers.

Air Tindi is committed to:

• prevent and reduce aircraft accidents and incidents;
• identify and eliminate hazardous conditions;
• maintaining a base of highly trained experienced employees by providing safety related material to all personnel;
• prevent damage and injury to non-company property and personnel resulting from our operations;
• encouraging each employee to reach his/her potential while they work in a safe environment, contribute to the development of the company through the SMS program and enjoy a high quality of life;
• minimize the environmental impact of all aspects of our operations including ground and airborne activities;
• participating appropriately in discussion with Transport Canada, Transportation Safety Board, Northern Air Transport Association, Air Transport Association of Canada and other bodies in the development and improve operational guidelines, codes of practice and public understanding.

Achieving this requires the full understanding by everyone in our company of their safety responsibilities and their commitment to fostering a pro-active safety culture, based on a daily of care for our customers, one's co-workers and oneself.
